This mission requires our members to be part of a capable, aggressive, all-risk fire department that focuses on “Preserving the Past and Protecting the Future” of those we serve.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES (EMS)
EMS is a vital Fire Department function. It focuses on providing out-of-hospital care and transport for patients with illnesses and injuries that the patient believes constitutes a medical emergency. The aim of EMS is to provide treatment to those in need of urgent medical care. Fire-based EMS response units may also assist with SAR operations such as extrication and water rescue.
SEARCH & RESCUE (SAR)
Our objectives are to: Save 100% of lives at risk. Reduce the number and severity of SAR incidents. Minimize loss of life, injury, property damage and risk to the environment.
